Improved search, profile and trip gear, GPS map import
We have updated the site and you’re going to love the new features. A much improved search, profile and trip gear, GPS map import, and a revamped and streamlined look and feel make it the best outdoors website around.
View Trip
If you want to quickly view your trip to see the changes you have made while editing you can now do that using the View link at the top of the edit trip page. The link will open up a window which shows your trip as other people would view it. You can quickly close the window and get back to editing by clicking the close button.
Find Nearby Trips and Explore Icons
We have a few new exciting updates we just released today! The first is the ability to view all trips that are near a certain trip. Just click on the link that says “Find Nearby Trips” and the site will automatically find all of the trips near the one specified.
The second is a small update to the explore page. We spruced it up and added some icons and browse all links for trips and users.
Browse Trips and Users
We have added the ability to browse all of the trips on the site as well as all users. Also, the view trip page got an overhaul. The amount of tabs has been greatly reduced so everything can be viewed on one page.
Organization Support
Today we launch the changes we have made to user profiles which allow organizations the ability to enter their information on Trail Rambler. We have added a new section called Organization and have also shifted some of the other profile information around to make the page a little cleaner.
Trip List Quantities
We know that trip lists got a little messy when adding lots of items, so with this update we introduce trip list quantities, an improved interface for adding items, and many bug fixes.
Add user to a trip using an email address
One of the problems users face when creating a trip is they are not able to add friends to a trip without them being signed up.
Now you can. By just typing in an email address, your friend will get an email asking them to sign up. Once they sign up using that email address, they’ll automatically be added to your trip. Brilliant!
