Description

Anyone planning a trip to the Porkies in the winter should know that the roads going into the park are closed to automobile traffic and are converted to snowmobile trails. We didn't know that before we went and it kind of messed up our plans.

Here are some websites we found useful for this trip(compiled 3/18/2008)

yeah it was a sweet trip, we should consider a trip up there some year, maybe some sea kayaking at pictured rocks, this park is awesome too. I don't have tons of monies but I feel like renting sea kayaks wouldn't send chills down my tightwad spine.
the snow shoes were definitely different but they weren't bad to use and it was a lot easier than sinking up to your knees. I really like shoeing. I always think its odd that it gets it own separate activity "snowshoeing" i mean its really just hiking but in the winter but I'm glad it does because it is cool.
hey, should I respond here or on your message boards
