Hey Nate! Yep, the Bounty spent a great week in Chicago towards the end of our season. I have enjoyed your pictures of all your trips, especially your shots in the Boundary Waters. Keep up the good work!

Hi Nathan! I'm so glad I found this site, I have many more adventures to post. Delamar is mostly trashed, both with historic (old rusty metal cans) trash and modern (evidence of people not treading lightly). I did manage to find some old shards of glass and bits of painted porcelain, likely from plates. Even with the sensitivity turned all the way down and it being set for precious metal only, my metal detector was freaking out with all the rusty nails everywhere. Delamar was last inhabited in the early 1940's but I suspect the artifacts I recovered predate that. I look forward to going back again this year or next.

Wouldn't it be awesome if I was from NZ? Sadly, I'm not - but it's a beautiful country! So, I put up some pics (and I've got more) and they aren't all hiking per se, but if someone was hiking in the area and wanted something else to do for the day.....
I'll also try and put up some Oz pics - we did a lot of gorge hiking and some sleeping under the stars in the bush. Right, so I'm friends with Kelly. |

I see you dislike my cheezy trip titles. Dag-Gum-It\nwow, How many times did you have to click to add a point on your trail to the Datsun?

Dangit, your longitude values for your Datsun trip are all 0's. It's probably some mundane detail or something. Dang it all.

Hike the Narrows. We may push back to the following day if weather does not cooperate.
The river is the trail and will obviously be wet. We may have to swim in a few places. The canyon should keep us out of the worst of the sun. We can go as far as about 4.5 miles out before we have to turn back. If necessary, we can certainly turn back sooner. We are just doublin More |
