2 Day jaunt. Leaving the wives in Aspen.

Hike the Narrows. We may push back to the following day if weather does not cooperate.

The river is the trail and will obviously be wet. We may have to swim in a few places. The canyon should keep us out of the worst of the sun.

We can go as far as about 4.5 miles out before we have to turn back. If necessary, we can certainly turn back sooner. We are just doublin g back on the trail either way. More

Our annual winter camping trip. It was 9 degrees Fahrenheit that night. Needless to say, it was a pretty cool trip.

We slept in the Catfish Bay walk in campground. For some reason, we decided to walk across the lake in the middle of the night, but otherwise just sat by our fire.

The most exciting part was when a burning log fell on our case of Mountain Dew.

6 of us went to Devil's Lake State Park near Baraboo, Wisconsin. We mostly just hung out, but did a fair amount of hiking, and even a little scrambling on the boulders on Saturday.

We had cool and cloudy weather that was just right for being active during the day and sitting by the fire at night.

The campgrounds were full, and the rangers were strict. They threatene d to fine us for being too loud after quite hours even though all we were doing was talking and laughing.
